You are the page,
I am not willing to turn.
Even when it read ‘ The end’,
I read it all over again.
You once felt like the gravity,
That held me to the ground.
Now that you are gone
I float away in and around.
I relive my smile,
In your memories that are rightfully mine.
I close my eyes one more time,
And pray for the time to rewind.
Could I have changed something,
So you could have stayed.
Won’t the door you walked out off
Remain forever closed, my friend.
Time has healed me now,
I can feel the ground again.
But that betraying part of my heart
Will not let me feel whole again.
Worry not, my friend,
You will remain the happiest chapter of my story.
And a greedy part of me grieves,
To remain in some good part of your memory.
