In the little calm I found
The sound that drenched my soul
When my eyes were soar
And my breath was merely heard
Floated through, the sound that made me jump
In it hatched the essence I yearned
The true help had arrived
Not from elsewhere but inside
A birth from within that I never knew to bear
A hand that reached inside and draped around
Like a womb for my strength to grow
A warmth that spread like the fire up the sky
In it that which was born
Nurtured the broken and ripped
Until my wings spread and broke out of the cocoon
Carrying me up above
Until the misery was beneath
Invisible from the distance
From where the strength now carried
Far and above like a bird above the sky
